"Meiji"
The blade "Meiji" measures 6 5/8" in length and 11" overall. It is forged from 1084, 15N20, & 80CRV2. The design of "Meiji" is inspired by Japanese blade styles, specifically the Japanese Bunka shape, and it features engravings depicting art from the Meiji period. During the Meiji era, the Rising Sun was used as a war flag, and the bottom of the handle showcases an engraving from Meiji period engraving textbooks. The patterns on the sides are renditions of artwork found in Meiji period fabrics, and the Damascus pattern on the blade is a Shichimai pattern. The handle is made of engraved and anodized titanium and Ziricote, and it features a unique reverse keyhole on a bias where titanium connects to wood. The blade is inset into the titanium at the handle junction, and the pommel nut is made of nickel silver. I am honored to present this beautiful piece of art!
